  • Rob Zombie’s ‘Baron Von Shock’ Comic Preview

    May 06, 2010 2 min read

Rob Zombie's Baron Von ShockRob Zombie… oh were do thou find the time?  We reported on this not so long ago, but since we are nearing the release date I wanted to drop a little plug for Zombie’s upcoming comic book debut of Baron Von Shock hitting retail shelves everywhere on May 26th.  This may be the first comic book I’m ever excited for in a very long time.  Can you tell I’m not a regular comic reader?  Is it really that obvious?  LOL.  The Zombster has taken to the blog boards recent providing his fans with some preview pages of the upcoming comic.  Due to the family oriented nature of this site I am only able to post 2 pages from his preview (see below).  I also included a very small press release that was posted recently on DreadCentral.com.  Enjoy!

This comic venture is very, very different in tone for me. Instead of a crazy over-the-top monster-fest like El Superbeasto, I wanted to create something that works more on a slice of life human level,” states Zombie, “After El Superbeasto became a movie, I felt I had taken that style as far as I could. So, I really needed Baron Von Shock to be something fresh in writing and in art.

After publishing The Haunted World of El Superbeasto, we jumped at the chance to work with Rob again on Baron Von Shock,” says Image Publisher Eric Stephenson. “Baron Von Shock is darkly humorous, thrilling and uncompromising – everything fans expect a Rob Zombie story to be.

What Ever Happened to Baron Von Shock? #1, a 32-page full color comic book for $3.99, will be in stores May 26th, 2010.
