Marvin Pontiac, a blues harmonica musician who was active in Mali, Chicago, and Detroit, passed away in a traffic accident in 1997. By then, we reckoned that all matter is a fictional character and story, directed by John Lurie. He is both an actor and a singer – which may be triggered him to launch “The Legendary Marvin Pontiac”. The music is multiple layered in a combination of Jazz, Blues and Funk elements. For the great fans of music, it is worth noting that this album has just been recently re-released as a CD and vinyl nearly 20 years apart.
